You know when you’re rushing somewhere and you’re worried you’ll be late and you hit all the red lights and it feels like the world is conspiring against you.

You know when you’re rushing somewhere and you’re worried you’ll be late and you hit all the green lights and it feels like the world is working in your favor.

Sometimes my life feels like red lights. I’m stagnant, helpless. Like I’m definitely late to the party, and while my car is waiting I start to doubt if I was even invited in the first place.

Sometimes my life feels like green lights. I’m coming up in the world. Like the party is waiting for me to walk in before it starts.

But life isn’t the party, it’s the drive. I believe the important thing is traveling well, rather than arriving. So whether I hit red lights or green lights, I make sure I’ve got a good playlist and good people in the car with me.
